TASK 6 - Translator

Hi! I´m Álvaro and this week I'm the translator of the group, so I´m going to present the five core terms related to the subject which have been worked in this week´s activity:

• Competencies: We are very used to hearing this word, but 🧐... what are they really? First of all, we talk about a competencies when they can be evaluated. In this way, this term can be defined as the ability to perform a certain activity. This ability must be real and demonstrated.

• Digital competence: Is a combination of skill and knowledge 🧠 that allow us to have a comfortable and fluent digital performance💻. We consider that this competence is essential for everybody, so as teachers, we should be the first that have it.

• Communication: It is the means of sending information, while we express emotions, knowledge, etc. Also, we have done this in English. Communication is the avenue for teaching, so we must be able to convey information effectively ✅to be good teachers👩🏼‍🏫.

• Cultural awareness: It is the sensitivity to the similarities and differences that exist between different cultures. Every time society advances and develops more, and with this, the exchange of cultures increases 🌎. Thanks to this, in our future classes we will meet students from different backgrounds and cultures, something very beneficial that we must take advantage of to develop this rich cultural awareness in children.

• Mathematical competence: It is the ability to develop and apply mathematical thinking ➗ in order to solve a range of problems. It is a basic skill that both, students and teachers, should work so hard, as it is one of the basis to have a good learning development.
